The Apatani are one of the prominent tribes in Arunachal Pradesh, India. They primarily inhabit the Ziro Valley in the Lower Subansiri district of Arunachal Pradesh.

The Apatani people speak a Tibeto-Burman language known as the Apatani language.

Apatani women used to practice a unique form of facial tattooing and nose-plugging, although these customs have largely been discontinued in recent times. The tribe practices an indigenous form of agriculture known as wet rice cultivation, which involves the systematic and sustainable use of terraced fields.
