Gnathang, also known as Nathang Valley, is a picturesque hamlet located in East Sikkim, India. It is situated at an altitude of around 13,500 feet (4,100 meters) above sea level, making it one of the highest inhabited areas in the region. Gnathang is known for its stunning natural beauty, including panoramic views of the Himalayan mountain range. Gnathang is located in the eastern part of the Indian state of Sikkim, near the border with China (Tibet Autonomous Region). It is approximately 135 kilometers from the state capital, Gangtok. The valley is surrounded by rugged mountains, alpine meadows, and lush greenery. Visitors are treated to breathtaking views of snow-capped peaks, including the prominent Kanchenjunga, which is the third highest mountain in the world.
